- Umm... "bloody" is an English idiomatic usage, originating from
- "by our Lady." I do not think the expression means what you think
- it means. :-)

- namely the tradition recounted to Herodotos by his Egyptian sources.
- This is terrily late, and I wouldn't put much weight on it, but it is
- a hell of a lot more than we know about him from any *contemporary*
- sources. Given the long run of pyramid mania, we need not postulate
- slave-driving and misery in their construction, but that whole issue
- is a red herring anyway.
