- This is where a splitter behind the blade can also come in handy.
- Mine holds the work firmly against the fence without need for a second
- featherboard. And in cases where I do want the extra security of a second
- featherboard regardless, the splitter fills the kerf and prevents the cutoff
- strip from binding against the blade.

- Splitters can be very useful and enhance safety. As for the stock
- splitter/guard/grippers.. rubbish. I got a splitter for the INCA 250
- (small 10" tablesaw) and bolted it onto my generic contractor's saw.
- It doesn't go up/down with the blade, but is easy to install/remove
- and works very well.
