- I use a magnetic base for a dial indicator to set my jointer blades.
- It works just like Magnasets but cost a whole lot less, you can get
- them with a 1" travel dial indicator for about $30 and get a dial
- indicator out of the deal as well to use to check blade or arbor
- runout. The bases have a on/off switch on them so you just put the
- blades in the jointer, put the base on the outfeed table just over-
- hanging the blade, turn the magnet on and presto... the blade comes
- right up to the base. Snug up the jack screws and away you go.
