  12. I am a first-time shortboarder and purchased a Windsurfing Hawaii
  13. "Star Base".  Does anyone know why the mast base can be offset
  14. with respect to the board centerline?  Under what conditions
  15. would one prefer to have it on particular side of the board
  16. centerline?
