- Two new windows (yuk) programs are the Matrox Studio and the Video
- Machine. Both have high end 4:2:2 processing, effects, graphics, and
- machine control. Both require huge drives for video storage and highend
- machines. Both still have drawbacks in image quality compared to pro
- video gear. Apple Link for Video Machine is FAST.E Pricetag is around
- $5000 for the card. Matrox is about $15,000 for the cards. Low end
- expect to see quicktime players for the IBM-PC before too long but look
- at Adobe Premier or Macromind Mediamaker for the Mac. I believe
- Macromind might have a PC version of Action you might look at. Whatever
- you buy storing even low resolution video take big bites
