  10. We are looking for an industrial quality video editing system, which should
  11. run from and control a pair of Betacam SP machines, one a recorder/player,
  12. the other a player with dynamic tracking.  We also want to import material
  13. (either single frames or animations) from other machines (many different
  14. kinds - Silcon Graphics, VAXen, Macs etc) on the network.

  16. We have demo'ed many systems, but our current favourite is a Mac based
  17. system from Avid.  We were allowed to use one of these for the day last week
  18. and found it very easy to use in all respects.  The results were great too.
  19.  
  20. Does anyone out there have any opinion about these Avid systems (or any of the
  21. others) or any info we should know?
