  25. I haven't tried this, but I know of another method that works,
  26. that was posted here about a year ago.

  28. Remove the battery pack, go out to your car, get out the jumper 
  29. cables, connect them to your car's battery, then --
  30.  
  31. Jolt the hell out of your computer battery by touching the terminals
  32. with the jumper cables.  DO THIS ONLY FOR 1 OR 2 SECONDS !
  33. Then reverse the polarity and do it again.  Repeat a few times.

  38. Do not hold the jumper cables on the NiCad's terminals!  It could
  39. explode!

  41. Do not use this technique on batteries with more than two terminals!
  42. Some batteries have a temperature sensor in them that tells the charger
  43. when to stop.  You could destroy this, and your battery could blow 
  44. up inside your computer the next time you charge it.

  46. Do not let the jumper cables weld themselves to the battery! If they 
  47. do, run for cover!

  49. Overall, I guess this is a more radical, but maybe more fun way
  50. to jolt your battery into shape.  It worked for me, but it left
  51. a few black marks on the terminals.
