- I bought my 3090 about one year ago. First, I had to send it to Pioneer
- to get the ROM upgrade. Then it developed the "spontaneous pause" feature.
- I sent it back to them in the winter and they could not fix it so they sent
- me a new 3090. By September, we had another problem: audio "dropouts" on
- CD's. I called the service center again, and after speaking with her
- supervisor, the telephone rep told me to send my 3090 in and they would
- replace it with a 701. Which they did. I have now had the 701 for over a month
- and it is working fine.

- You are not alone in the 3090 twilight zone.
