  27. I've been searching for a good remote control for a LONG time,
  28. and have yet to find one that might fit all my needs.  Perhaps
  29. you can tell me if this Memorex 8 does the job.

  32. - VCR
  33. - Satellite
  34. - A/V Receiver (with over 40 AVR specific buttons!)
  35. - CD Player
  36. - Cassette Deck
  37. - DAT
  38. - Laserdisc
  39. - Good range (~30 feet, bounce off walls, etc.)
  40. - System calls (sequences of AT LEAST 10 commands)
  41. - LCD labelling (not just a collection of ICONS, but user
  42.   define/create ability)
  43. - Timer Functions
  44. - Large memory (I've tried many Universal Remotes out, and NONE of
  45.   them have been able to handle even half of the necessary
  46.   commands.)

  48. In addition.  I'm planning on adding sometime in the new year: DCC,
  49. Subwoofer, another DAT, and a Superguide addition to the
  50. satellite.   When I start redesigning my A/V room I hope to add-in 
  51. remote control lights, and maybe even a theromstat.

  53. I have heard of those FOX LCD remotes, but haven't seen any in
  54. action.  Am I dreaming, and no one will ever make a remote that
  55. can even handle half of my requirements?

  57. Also, does anyone have one of those Powermid whole-house Infrared
  58. Remote controls?  I have my A/V signal channelled throughout the
  59. house, and would like to control the main units from anywhere.
