- There is a difference in Dolby Pro-Logic Surround decoders. IMO,
- the best are used by Yamaha (who makes their own) and Denon (who use
- a PMI chip). Although more money, I think it is worth it to move up
- from a JVC (or Technics or Sony ES or Pioneer Elite) to either a
- Yamaha or Denon. If money is an issue (you didn't say in your post)
- then they may be beyond your budget, though.
- I have heard from some friends that they were disappointed with the
- performance of their JVC surround amps. It might be worthwhile to look
- into some others in your price range... Kenwood is one that comes to
- mind. I know some people that are very happy with their Kenwood
- surround systems.
