- As it turns out, I awaited like everyone else in my subscriber area for
- the first day of Sci-fi channel. For days previous, there was a 24 hour
- banner with special effects, noises etc.. I thought this channel was
- going to be the coolest.
-
- Well, now that I have it, I am glad it is on basic service... I would not
- pay for it.
-
- For all of those out there who dig Sci-fi so much you thought you were
- having an orgasm when you first heard about a Sci-fi channel devoted to
- the like of us, calm down...
-
- It aint as great as they said it would be... Unless you like all day
- long reruns from recent shows like:
-
- Space 1999 (ahhhbblllphph!) or Incredible Hulk (give me a break)
- or Alien Nation (wasnt that just on?) and the list goes on...
-
- Its the same stuff when I get home from work... I guess they are saving
- the good stuff (there isnt much of this anymore) for later.
- They showed Star Wars the first night and since then, all I have been
- able to catch are B rated fifties movies...
-
- I guess you will just have to make your own decisions of course, but
- I think you would agree that if your cable company offers it as some
- sort of premium channel, dont be fooled... In fact, late at night,
- when you would expect Sci-fi to be showing cool fifties sf classics,
- I saw one of those hour long JUICER commercials... ahhhhhhhh
-
- ....The dissillusioned..
