  32. I meant the latter.  Let me clarify my original question:

  34. I understand that Betacam SP is superior to consumer formats including
  35. S-VHS and Hi8.  I want someone to quantify the superiority in terms of
  36. lines of resolution, number of edit generations it can handle, etc.  I
  37. understand that it could be superior without having more resolution in
  38. luminance.  I just want someone to clarify this.

  40. In other words, don't tell me it's better, tell me precisely how it's
  41. better.
