- -> My fiance' and I are wanting to send some video to her family in
- -> Australia. I know that there are different VHS standards between the
- -> USA and OZ, but is the same true about 8mm? I happen to own a Sony
- -> 8mm video camcorder that is the same model that her brother has over
- -> seas. Would his camcorder be able to play back a tape made in my
- -> camcorder? If not, how much should I expect to have to spend to get
- -> an 8mm tape transfered to a VHS tape of the correct format?

- Ok so you're friends camera you said it's the same model as you'rs are
- you sure ? If not it's probably not in the same system not sure what
- system is being used in australia but it shouldn't be to expensive to do
- a two hour tape should go for about thirty dollars canadian. I would do
- it for you but i think you're in the states somewhere i'm in
- mississauga. Remember first find out what system the camerea is working
- under then if you have to do the transfer . Incase you don't know you
- are ntsc .
