- Not necessarily. Unless the video-in-out path is purely metallic when
- playing through, the signal might be degraded. Mitsu might not have felt
- obliged to provide circuits capable of better than broadcast signal quality
- (or perhaps better than VHS quality).

- Absolutely, but that's not the same question you asked above. I use a VHS
- copy of a excerpt from an LD to demonstrate just how crummy VHS is (and how
- much is lost when taping an LD to VHS).
