- I'm interested in how much accuracy is enough for video editing. It seems you
- can get +-3 frames with consumer level gear (e.g., TR101 and SLV-R5 by Sony),
- but beyond that you really need to go up in $$ to Pro level or just below (e.g.,
- V801 and E-700 and SLV-R5 or the Vdeck, etc...).

- What I am trying to do beforehand, which admittedly may not be very effective,
- is to make the best attempt at determining what level of editing accuracy is
- needed before making the investment. Since I've seen both consumer and
- professional equipment discussed in this group, it would be interesting to hear
- how people feel about dead-on, frame-accurate editing. Is it essential to do
- any worthwhile editing, or can you really notice +-1 vs. +-3 frames (Sony's
- "Super Accurate" level).
