- Seconded. It would make a lot more sense to go to Norwich instead: it has
- a similarly well-preserved town centre, a castle more accessible than
- Edinburgh's (most of which is off limits because of the army, leaving only
- St Margaret's Chapel as worth the bother), and one of the best mediaeval
- cathedrals in the UK. It's about 90 minutes from London by train or bus.
- Save Scotland for when you have more time.
