  29.     Excuse me, I just lost something here, and it's not clear to
  30. me what you mean by to see a customs officer on the way *out*. The man
  31. returning to Heathrow Airport, or in our CASE back to good ole USA.
  32. Ofcourse we go through customs when we land into the USA. Our
  33. Passports, at JFK, New York, are scanned to make sure they are not forgiers, 
  34. but this is Immigration not Customs. Later when one picks up the Luggage the
  35. Customs officier signs the OK or stamps OK on YOUR Passport.  Check
  36. your passport and see if you clearned customs or not. You might have
  37. gotten in the USA illegally. (Don't you watch any Spy movies or
  38. detective movies?) :-).
