- OK, everybody tells me it is cheaper to reserve a car in the UK by
- reserving prior to the trip in dollars than just getting one on the spot
- in pounds. Let's assume a car rental fee is constant over a period of
- time - say six months. But is that fee a constant in dollars or is it
- a constant in pounds? That is, the exchange rate has dropped from
- $2.00/pound to $1.50/pound, yet the quoted fees in dollars are the same.
- Does that mean they are now more expensive in pounds?
