- You probably can, but I think you still need to go to RENFE office.

- I don't think you need to worry about safety in Spain. I was there
- this Sept-Oct, and I didn't have any problem. But then, safety may be
- relative thing. I was from U.S, not Japan... I stayed mostly in
- Puerta Del Sol and Del Prado area and it was just fine. It is the
- noise that you need to avoid more than unsafety at night. The crowd
- noise dies down usually after 3 am, so try to get a room away from
- the street whenever you can. It was same deal in Barcelona around
- La Rambla, where I stayed.
