- Well, you'll have a great time at Lake Tahoe, but since it's not really very
- far away, five days might be overkill. The hotels in California are generally
- less expensive than the Nevada ones because you can't gamble (of course, the
- Nevada resorts occasionally offer great deals to entice you to stay there and
- say, "Well, as long as we're here, we might as well stop by the casino, maybe
- for just a few minutes..." yeah, right). The area is _almost_ like Colorado
- or Utah for skiing conditions, but you said you didn't want to ski...
- The hiking is great in the summer, probably a bit cold and icy for the
- winter (why don't you try skiing?), and most folks would probably forego sailing
- (most Tahoe visitors go skiing, it's really fun, especially X-C skiing)...
