- This is for a honeymoonish type anniversary present.
-
- What I'm looking for is a reasonably-priced hotel that has in-room
- hottub/whirlpools. I'm trying travel guides, etc. as well as the net,
- but often what they call a "whirlpool tub" is a normal-sized bathtub
- that has built-in or attached whirlpool. Nothing wrong with that,
- but in *this* case, I'd rather have a double sized bathtub (without whirlpool)
- than a normal sized tub *with* whirlpool. Anyway, what I'm hoping for is
- that someone out there has stayed at/heard of such a place, and that I
- can get some recoomendations (good or bad) as leads. (And if this
- post happens to leak out of the IL distribution, I'd be glad to hear
- any recommendations for hotels that might be parts of chains, and therefore
- might also be around here as well.)
-
- To break down my preferences:
-
- Within a 2 or 3 hours' drive
-
- Preferrably around Chicago, but St. Louis is a second choice.
- Even any other smaller cities within that radius would be
- acceptable as well, though I might be willing to pay more for
- the big cities, as there would be other things to do there.
- (This is going to be a short weekend getaway).
-
- Reasonably priced.
-
- I know that depends on a lot of things, like location,
- how nice the room is (besides having the tub), etc.
- So I'm not even going to try to pin it down just yet.
-
- I have heard of such places on the West coast, and in the Southeast,
- but not around here. I hope that doesn't mean that there *aren't* any around
- here...
