  38. nb. This is more the rent-a-roughie type operation.

  40. Svein-Ivar, all operators require a deposit of between $A100 - $A200,
  41. and in some cases there may be an addition holiday surcharge for the
  42. christmas holiday period.  During the holiday period there is a large
  43. demand on hire cars, consequently you may need to contract a few oper-
  44. ators to get a car at the price and period that you want.

  46. All operators are quick to ask whether the car will be used for metro-
  47. politan or country travel.  Tarrifs for driving outside the Perth 
  48. metropolitan area are higher.
