  15.  We will be in Italy between 10/14 - 10/24. While making reservations
  16. for some of the hotels, they have asked to send the complete
  17. payment in advance through US Dollar Travellers Checks (counter-signed) 
  18. as they do not take any Credit cards. I am not sure if this is the
  19. right mode of payment as I will not have any receipt of payment.
  20. What is the Check gets lost in mail ?
  21.   Did anyone ever have such an experience? Any information will
  22. be greatly appreciated.
