  11. There are Christmas Frais on the four weekends before Christmas in many
  12. German towns and villages.

  14. The most famous one is the Christkindelsmarks in Nuernberg (Nuremberg),
  15. but this is incredibly crowded and filled up with tourists.
  16. Personally i would avoid it, but IF you (or your parents) will visit
  17. Nuernberg anyway for the other sights, go ahead ...

  19. Sometimes the smaller markets are more rewarding, as they have less food
  20. outlets and more Christmas gifts, handcarved figures and the such.

  22. A nice one is at Michelstadt in the Odenwald (roughly in the Frankfurt/Main -
  23. Heidelberg area), but there is such a multitude ...
  24. (I visit normally the one in Darmstadt/Eberstadt, but surely no tourist
  25. will ever come near that place :-) )
