  17. Embassy Location:  The U.S. Embassy in Kolonia has no official 
  18. street address but is located in the lower Pics area across from the

  23. Country Description:  The Federated States of Micronesia (including 
  24. the islands of Pohnpei, Kosrae, Truk, and Yap) is a constitutional 
  25. democracy in free association with the United States.  Its economy 
  26. is developing, and tourist facilities are available on a limited 
  27. basis.

  29. Entry Requirements:  Proof of citizenship and identity are required 
  30. for a tourist visit of up to one year.  Further information 
  31. concerning specific requirements is available through the Embassy of 
  32. the Federated States of Micronesia, 1725 N Street, N.W., Washington,

  35. Medical Facilities:  Health facilities in the Federated States of 
  36. Micronesia are adequate for routine medical problems, but are 
  37. limited in range and quality.  Doctors and hospitals may expect 
  38. immediate cash payment for health services.  U.S. medical insurance 
  39. is not always valid outside the United States.  Supplemental medical 
  40. insurance with specific overseas coverage has proved to be useful.

  44. Information on Crime:  The crime rate in the Federated States of 
  45. Micronesia is low.  Useful information on guarding valuables and
