- Embassy Location: The U.S. Embassy in Kolonia has no official
- street address but is located in the lower Pics area across from the

- Country Description: The Federated States of Micronesia (including
- the islands of Pohnpei, Kosrae, Truk, and Yap) is a constitutional
- democracy in free association with the United States. Its economy
- is developing, and tourist facilities are available on a limited
- basis.

- Entry Requirements: Proof of citizenship and identity are required
- for a tourist visit of up to one year. Further information
- concerning specific requirements is available through the Embassy of
- the Federated States of Micronesia, 1725 N Street, N.W., Washington,

- Medical Facilities: Health facilities in the Federated States of
- Micronesia are adequate for routine medical problems, but are
- limited in range and quality. Doctors and hospitals may expect
- immediate cash payment for health services. U.S. medical insurance
- is not always valid outside the United States. Supplemental medical
- insurance with specific overseas coverage has proved to be useful.
