- I thought the coverage of the race overall was pretty decent. They showed
- alot of each leg, including the swim, which I thought was admirable.
- They portrayed "The Grip" as the person he really is, and the Aussie Welch as
- the nutcase/top athlete he is.
-
- I noted that Mark Allen tends to ride face down, helmet top facing forward.
- I thought this very unusual, but they made no comment. No big deal
- though.
-
- The show focused very well on the realities of the race and the sport
- as well.
-
- Why am I still just a little dissappointed? Paula broke **9 hours**, yet
- she and the rest of the ladies received very little coverage. It
- seemed more just an afterthought to put them in at all. The exception was
- the mother of 5 from Michigan who juggles a crazy life with the
- Ironman. But still the coverage was weak overall on the ladies'
- side of things.
-
- Oh well, I guess we can't have everything.
