- In my opinion the media is out of touch with fan response, tennis at
- the top level is beyond national boundaries, so even if two Americans
- were playing (Courier vs Sampras), any average tennis fan would have
- expected the Becker - Ivanisevic match to be more interesting. Instead
- we do see a boring upset (Courier beats Sampras), and the last bit
- of a very interesting match (Becker beats Ivanisevic in a third set
- tie breaker). What little they showed was great to watch.
