- If the idea is to get a lot of participation, than these last idea aren't very
- good. I would imagine that only currently competative swimmers would even
- think of doing these types of things. I'm a fairly good swimmer, but my
- competative years are behind me, and I can't even dream of finishing a 200 fly.

- I think the events should be the standard distances and strokes swam in most
- high school and college level events. 100s and 200s of the specialities,
- 50,100,200,500,maybe 1000 or 1650 Free, and 200, 400 IM. No one would have
- to compete in everything, only in what they choose. I could do the shorter
- freestyle events, and even the 100 fly, but the longer events are a thing of
- my past, particually with a recent dislocated shoulder But when I get back in
- the water I would like this kind of motivation to work harder in the pool.
