  22. I believe the reason behind the lack of success of the 'attractive' sides
  23. in England (and probably in Scotland as well) is the ridiculously long
  24. season without a mid-winter break. I can't remember how many times
  25. West Ham started the season well and was near the top of the table 
  26. before the winter began and when the pitches started getting worse
  27. Hammers' form faded away.

  29. The failure of Spurs to win the league despite having a good team in 
  30. the early 80's is probably due to the same thing. Liverpool could play 
  31. attractive football and win titles only because they had large enough 
  32. squad of quality players.

  34. Arsenal is a good example of a successful side that plays 'ugly' football.
  35. If you're not a fan of theirs, there's not much to watch in their game.
  36. Unfortunately, there's a good chance for them to win the title this season.
  37. If Arsenal are not able to adjust their style to continental football, 
  38. they'll never have any chances among the best in Europe.
