- I'll try this for a little while. If I don't think anyone is using it, I'll
- quit since it will be a unnecessary effort on my part. One of the channels I
- get shows sports info (called the sportstracker). I'll enter bits into a file
- for others to read if they are logged on and want to see updates. First, I
- have to be home to do this. Second, I can't be using my VCR since my TV is
- not cable ready and I can't get the channel on it. Third, I have to remember
- 8-). Thus, it could be that updates won't happen for hours or even at all if
- I'm not home.
-
- To get the updates, if you have Unix: finger wilson@cs.ucf.edu
- if you have something else: ?
-
- Besides the garbage associated with my account, you should see:
-
- Project: Last update <date>
- Plan:
- all of the updates for the night starting with the schedule.
-
- If I'm not watching the sportstracker, I cannot get the info I missed while
- not watching. So an entry might say "TB/StL: 1-0" and then a little later
- another "TB/StL: 2-4" with no updates in between. Sorry, this is a free service.
- Scorers are usually given and also some minor league results are occasionally
- given: IHL, AHL.
-
- If you think you'll use this, make yourself heard. Otherwise, I'll stop (which
- is fine with me).
-
- Finally, if the file gets rather large for a particular night, use grep and
- your desired team to see only those lines since I will start each entry with
- the two teams involved.
