  13. The Sharks looked really awful tonite. Irbe was great, but as Nelson said,
  14. he didn't get much help. The Sharks were not hitting or checking very well,
  15. and they had a few powerplays when they didnt even get a SHOT.
  16. Two things I noticed:
  17. - Pat Falloon wasn't checking. He seemed to be very intent on cherry picking
  18.   to pick up an offensive rush, but more than once a leaf went close to him
  19.   carrying the puck and Falloon didn't do more than look at him.
  20. - Irbe either needs to handle the puck better, or to wander from the crease
  21.   less. Even before the defense had collapsed, he was wandering out trying
  22.   to make plays a defenseman should have handled. It almost cost him a goal
  23.   in the third, but he scrambled back and made a great, sprawling save.
  24. All in all, a pretty lousy game. If the Sharks play like this against the
  25. Blackhawks on Saturday, it will be ugly.
