-
- Yes, but I never understand deals like this. You can get placeholders
- like Weiss easy; why waste a pick on him? I'm sure Alfredo Griffin is
- floating around somewhere, or maybe Alvaro Espinoza or Felix Fermin or
- something.

-
- WHy anyone would want Blair is a mystery to me. Proven mediocrity. See,
- I can't understand why a team wouldn't rather gamble on a guy like
- Salkeld, who *could* be great, rather than Blair, who can't even be decent.
-
- Like Henry *didn't* get shelled this year? Boy, is that going to be an
- interesting year in Colorado.

-

-
- Yes, he is something special. He's a guy who can field his position.
- That makes him unwelcome on the Mets. He doesn't fit in. Now they can
- put Vince Coleman at third, or something.
-
- They don't have a 3bman at all, either. Magadan is a free agent. I
- think Bill "You know I'm worthless, the Royals know I'm worthless, I
- know I'm worthless. Only the Mets are confused." Pecota is their number
- one 3bman now. Wait, I can see it now. Wade Boggs.
-
- Speaking of which, the Yankees don't have a 3bman either. I guess we're
- back to some combination of Bam-Bam, Velarde, and Leyritz.
