  18. This surprised me also. With Gross' salary, I thought for sure he would
  19. be unprotected. He is too expensive to be a middle reliever so my guess is
  20. they either didn't want two inexperience ML pitchers in their rotation,
  21. or they are planning to use Gross in the closer role, if they can obtain 
  22. no one else (God help us).

  24. My biggest fear as a Dodger fan, though, is that Fred Claire in his
  25. infinite stupidity will find a way to sign Jeff Reardon. I have no inside
  26. information, just a feeling, and experience on the trials of Fred Claire.
