- Ah, Gawd, tell me about it.
- Our house is 2 miles S of the Y in Tahoe City. One weekend starting on
- a backcountry overnight trip North of Squaw we got into a line South of
- the Y. At the Y, I made the decision to drive the long way. We had a VW
- camper which DIDN'T follow us. They stuck it out bumper to bumper
- to pass Squaw. We drove the Lake shore to 267 all the way to Truckee,
- then down 89 and got in the South bound line for a few minutes. We still
- beat the VW bus by over five minutes at the cost of driving maybe 8 times
- as far. Ah, the beauty of controlled experiments.
-
- We have other tricks to avoid situations like this, but they are far
- from perfect.
