- I own a North Face suit as well as several items that are made of
- Gore-Tex, and I have found that they both work equally well at
- repelling water. The difference between the two is that Gore-Tex is
- an inner layer, while Ultrex is a coat that is sprayed on to the
- fabric. Some people tell me that Ultrex can rub off after extended
- use, but I have not found this to be true. The only other difference
- may be in their breathability, but I have no information on this.
