  12. A friend and I are going on a skiing trip to Utah around New Year's. We
  13. are both beginners. I have some silly questions somebody may be able to
  14. help me out with. We will fly into SLC from LA and stay in a hotel downtown.
  15. Where would be best for us to rent our gears? (Airport? Downtown? the
  16. Resort?) We are planning on skiing for one full day only (Probably at
  17. Alta). Also, How do we sign up for ski lessons? Do we just sign up at
  18. the resort? Or do we have to call the ski school way ahead of time? How
  19. much do they usually cost? Finally, Can somebody in the SLC area tell me
  20. what are some fun things to do in the evenings on Jan 1 and 2? (i.e. any
  21. special shows, etc). Would somebody be kind enough to give me some info.
  22. and suggestions? Either post or e-mail will be welcome.
