- Everyone KNOWS that the western areas are open. Hell, those of us in
- the east who can only dream of western skiing think that you can ski
- year-round out in the west.
-
- Obviously, the Weather Channel only listed Eastern skiing areas to
- remind us that there really is skiing in the East. Not that it is all
- that good - but it is there. Some areas, such as the aforementioned
- Seven Springs, is not much more than an oversized mole-hill. If you
- sneeze as you start down the hill, you could miss the whole slope! By
- the way, Seven Springs WAS open, and will be again (weather permitting)
- this weekend. I guess the "most snowmaking equipment of any ski resort"
- does have its payoffs - early openning dates.
