  26. If you're at Donner Summit, (which is where Boreal is) why not ski Sugar Bowl?
  27. Much better, no further.  Of course, the original post asked about the weekend
  28. of 12/4/92, and that early, Boreal will very likely be the only thing open.

  30. I've found that the travel time is about the same to Heavenly Valley (South
  31. Lake Tahoe) as to Sugar Bowl.  This early in the season, you'll want to verify
  32. that the gefluggen*@#! ski area is even *open* before you make any big plans and
  33. start piling into the rent-a-cruiser.

  35. If you leave San Jose at non-rush hour, and pass through Sacramento at non-
  36. rush hour, and if you haven't any irrational, perverse need to obey speed 
  37. limits, then you can get to Sugar Bowl in about 3.5 hours.
