- Pajarito has food service that is better and cheaper than most areas I've
- skied. They built a new, larger lodge this past year which improved this
- service considerably. The skiing is more challenging than Santa Fe or Sandia.
- Pajarito doesn't overgroom--but does had 1-2 newlt groomed runs for intermediates.
- In March, last time I was there, N. Mex. hadn't had snow for 2 weeks. The
- bumps at Taos were tight and not well formed, i.e., like bumps made by
- lower level skiers on short skis. The bumps at Pajarito still had good
- rhythm and were nicely formed--like longer skis can make. This difference
- may have mostly to do with the relative trafffic of the two areas--Taos
- was skied off on many trails the day I was there--but for bumps that week
- Pajarito was the best area among Taos, Santa Fe, and Pajarito.

- I'd swear that I skied there on Friday 3 years ago. All lifts run on Sat,
- Sun and holidays. 1-2 lifts run on Wed's. Even so, it's worth the trip
- because the terrain is good and uncrowded--cheap lift ticks too.
-
- Pajarito has added some runs which look pretty nice. They weren't open last
- year and won't open until a new lift is installed. I heard that may not
- be until '93-94.
