- SW PA, Seven Springs skied today...It was nice that the conditions were
- better than I expected from the phone advertising...I was astounded that
- they opened today - last week was really warm... I believe this is a
- couple of weeks earlier opening date than last year!
-
- ....Down at the Springs, it was cold as hell, snowing, and flat light
- most of the time...they only had the quad going so it took forever to get
- up the hill....conditions alternated between ppow, ice and wet...in short,
- it was great...what'd ya think I was gonna say?
-
- You gotta love skiing in Southwestern Pa this time of the year...After
- reading about everybody skiing in the rockies and CA...It was particularly
- satisfying to do the first of the season noodling around...and it was
- sunny and pleasant for a fair bit...and there was some natural snow too!
-
- Springs snow number is once again 1-800-523-7777.....Just to be fair
- Hidden Valley (the PA one nearby) was going to try to open next weekend.
- Their number is 1-800-443-SKII. Anybody know about Blue Knob, Whitetail,
- Wisp, W NY areas like Holiday Valley or E Pa areas?
-
- Looks like the start of a great season!
