  15. Re Tonya Harding's problems.  It's hard to say exactly what her
  16. difficulty is -- she seemed to be happy with the way she was skating,
  17. but at the same time it seemed like she wasn't really trying very
  18. hard.  I think she's right in saying that she can win without a triple
  19. axel, but not if she leaves out all her other triple jumps as well.
  20. She may indeed just be out of shape, although I didn't think it looked
  21. like she'd put on *that* much weight (for example, compared to how
  22. chunky Elaine Zayak was during her last year or two in competition).

  24. Anyway, it's early in the season yet, and I wouldn't write her off
  25. completely.
