- For about $80, a hooded vest will warm you up rather well. It adds a layer
- of insulation around the torso and eliminates shots of cold water down the
- spine (brrrr :( ).

- I find that my hooded vest makes a big difference in my comfort and warmth --
- especially during the winter months (Monterey, CA: winter water temps =
- 48-52 oF; summer water temps = 52-55 oF).
