- Lots of folks have commented on this thread already, but I wanted to add
- one niggling detail--the King Cobra was *not* removed in order to make room
- the Anaconda. The last time I was at KD was June '87 and the KC was already
- gone. I believe that was the same year the Shockwave opened. A year or two
- later saw the opening of the Avalanche Bobsled, and then finally the Anaconda.
-
- As I said, I haven't been to KD since '87 (and I live a mere 2 hours away!)
- but I do feel that the Loch Ness Monster is one of the most boring rides
- around; I'd much rather go on the Big Bad Wolf, and I'd somewhat rather go
- on Drachen Fire. The biggest advantage I see to the LNM is that the lines
- for it are much shorter than for the other two coasters, making it easy to
- rack up lots of rides.
-
- I'm looking forward to the spring when I'll be able to hit KD finally. And
- I can't wait to head over to Wild World and see what the new-and-improved
- Wild One is like; I think I rode it way back in '88.
