  29.   In fact, that was one reason for the final demise of ATSF's HH1000's 
  30. operating in the LA area in the 1970's.  They were getting old, and, according
  31. to Ex2200, "City officials were starting to make noises about air pollution 
  32. (who could argue with that?)"
  33.   I guess in many places where Alco's yet roam, it's rural enough (thinking
  34. of the GBW, Indiana Hi-Rail, and Arkansas & Missouri) that air pollution
  35. restrictions aren't too tough.
