  31. I think it was indeed turbo design.  Anyway, you should have
  32. seen the good old  C855's.  Talk about Mt. St. Helens.  
  33. On the maiden voyage of the things out of Omaha when they
  34. finally reached transition, there was a tremendous explosion
  35. in all three of them.  The Alco engineers had wired the
  36. transistion circuitry across the cabinets instead of the
  37. traction motors.  Scared the crew to death!  UP never
  38. trusted them to be main power again.  Too bad.  They
  39. were really ugly-pretty!
