- And furthermore I think this would be very easy to do on the Montreal
- trains as there is no passenger stop on the Canadian side of the border
- until St-Lambert (just outside of Montreal itself). This gives the
- border officials almost an hour or so do their inspections, etc. For
- the southbound trains they could get on at Montreal (where there is
- already a U.S. Customs office at the train station), begin the inspection
- after St-Lambert and then get off after the border. For the northbound
- trains it's basically the same thing, they could get on at the border,
- which would give them plenty of time to finish the inspection before
- arriving at St-Lambert.
