- I noted the same story in our local paper (Haverhill Gazette). The Maine
- stops are Wells and Saco, with a seasonal stop added at Old Orchard Beach.
- The "Woburn" stop must be the MBTA's Mishawum stop in East Woburn, and this
- implies that the train will run via the freight route (the "Wildcat") and
- not via Reading. IMHO, this is a wise decision as the Mishawum stop is
- adjacent to the intersection of Routes I-93 and I-95 and has a humongous
- parking lot - the "Route 128" of the North Side! The local paper also noted
- that, with equal logic, the "Haverhill" stop will probably actually be Bradford
- where parking is available in large quantities rather than the downtown station
- where there is no parking. This could change if the City ever gets the
- "Transportation Center" (a la Gallagher Transportation Center in Lowell) that
- the MBTA has promised us.
