  10. Hi folks.  just thought I'd update the new Amtrack service to Down East
  11. (that is Maine).
  12. They will be 4 round trips every day..
  13. In the state of MA, the speed limit would be 60 mph at max.  In NH and ME,
  14. the speed limit will be up to 79 mph..  It is expected that the route
  15. will take less than 2 hours....
  16. In Haverhill, MA  , the AMSHACK would be either at Haverhill or Bradford
  17. MBTA stations.  Officials have not decided on which location yet.

  19. It is expected that this new service would commence in a year.

  21. Now I'm wondering on how Amtrack would get the trains from S. Station to
  22. N. Station??? After all, they are not connected.... So, is Amtrack going
  23. to connect them or is this connection part of Boston's third harbor
  24. tunnel/ Central Artery project?? AKA the "big dig"
