- I remember reading an article apparently similar to the CTC Board
- one. The snowplows make drifts high enough on either side of the tracks
- that the moose have nowhere to go but down the tracks. The train crews
- would carry broom handles and a crewman would stand on the steps and try
- to "prod" the moose off the tracks, hence the nickname "Moose Gooser Line."
