- Since there seems to be some conflicting information on just what the
- SCR-522 is, I thought I'd supply the following which is compiled from
- (what I hope are) verifiable sources.
-
- In their 1986 catalog, Fair Radio Sales describes the SCR-522 as:
- "Receiver-Transmitter, AM crystal control, 30 watt, 4 channels on any
- frequency in the 100-156 MC range."
-
- The Surplus Radio Conversion Manual, Volume 1, Third Edition (published
- by Editors and Engineers, Ltd.) contains information on the receiver
- section, the BC-624. This includes a schematic diagram and some photos.
-
- Volume 3 of the Surplus Radio Conversion Manual has information on the
- transmitter section. (This edition calls the transmitter BC-624 also,
- while the 1st edition calls the transmitter BC-625. It seems likely that
- the numbers, themselves, are correct, but which is actually which?)
- The transmitter schematic and some photographs are included.
-
- Both of the conversion manual articles pertain to using the SCR-522
- for 2 meters.
